Folic acid helps maternal tissue growth during gestation, reducing neural tube defects such as spina bifida.

Strength: 400 mcg - 90 Tablets per Pack

What is Folic Acid?

Folic acid is the man-made substitute for the vitamin folate (Vitamin B9). It’s most commonly taken to help with the normal development of an unborn baby's brain, skull and spinal cord, to avoid defects such as spina bifida (a neural tube defect causing a gap in the spine).

What are the benefits of Folic Acid?

  • Aiding the normal development of the brain, skull and spinal cord in unborn babies
  • Treating or preventing folate-deficiency anaemia
  • Helps to reduce side effects from methotrexate, used in the treatment of severe arthritis, Crohn’s disease and psoriasis
  • Improving cell division and normal red blood cell formation

  • Have had an allergic reaction to folic acid
