About the role:

As a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber at Pharmica, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive online patient consultations, safely prescribing and managing medications, performing medication reviews, and providing patient education. You will collaborate with the pharmacy team, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and engage in ongoing professional development. Our bright and friendly offices, with spectacular views of the city, are based in Central London (WC1X) - within walking distance from various underground and train stations such as Russell Square, Chancery Lane, Kings Cross, and Farringdon.

The right applicant:

• Conduct thorough and accurate online consultations with patients to assess their medical history, current medications, and overall health status, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
• Utilise your expert knowledge to safely and effectively prescribe, review, and manage medications for patients in line with the latest clinical guidelines and relevant UK legislation.
• Perform regular medication reviews to ensure patients receive the most appropriate and effective treatment for their conditions, and to identify and resolve any clinical issues.
• Provide clear, concise, and tailored information to patients about their treatments, empowering them to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
• Use sound clinical judgement to identify the appropriate need for referral, and signpost to relevant healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and company policies. Continuously review and improve processes to optimise patient care and service efficiency.
• Work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless patient care and a smooth workflow.
• Keep up to date with the latest clinical guidelines, emerging therapies, and regulatory changes, and engage in ongoing professional development to further enhance your prescribing skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to the standards set by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and other relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring the highest levels of patient safety and professional integrity.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and queries in a timely and compassionate manner, and fostering a positive and trusting relationship with our online patient community.

Required skills for the role:

• GPhC registered
• Pharmacist Independent Prescriber Accreditation (required)
• Qualified pharmacist
• IT and numeracy proficiency is essential
• Excellent people skills

Package and Benefits:

• £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
