Had terrible side effects from 1 single pill. The leaflet does nothing to dispel the misconception that the effects build up gradually and you can test the waters and see how your body reacts.

In reality 1 single pill nukes your 5AR enzyme levels and keeps them nuked for weeks after (the drug has a half-life of around 30 days). Some people will have terrible side effects (immediate impotence and shrivelling of the ********, dizziness, lack of coordination, confusion, disturbed vision and so on) and then the best case scenario is you recover in a few weeks. Many people have lasting, life ruining side effects. I took 1 pill more than 3 weeks ago and am still waiting and hoping to recover.

If you are young and healthy and virile and hope to have children one day, then, especially if you don't have aggressive hair loss, the risk reward ratio is absolutely terrible. Don't do it.

Here the reviews are biased toward people who regularly buy Finasteride. Go and google Finasteride reviews and check out WebMD and Drugs . com to see what kind of side effects to expect if you are one of the unlucky ones.

Merck, who developed Finasteride, have a history of marketing dangerous drugs and misleading the public. Do your research.

Don't make the mistake I made of just watching a few videos by hair loss surgeons who have a vested interest in defending Finasteride. They have to give it to their transplant patients.

5AR enzymes don't just produce DHT. They produce important brain steroids that protect your brain health.

DHT is not a "junk hormone". It is vital for sexual function, blood sugar control, memory, heart health, strength and muscle mass, cognitive function, bone density etc.

Really, Finasteride is a castration drug first and a hair loss drug second. I don't think there is any such thing as just keeping the good effects and not having the bad side effects, regardless of dose. Even people who don't notice any effects are probably doing long term damage.

After my experience I think this drug should be illegal or at least it should have better warnings. Gambling with your reproductive health for cosmetic reasons is perverse.

Also don't rush into a permanent decision like this out of desperation. Give yourself more time to decide.
