Absolutely essential medication for those with bleeding thrombosed haemorrhoids to soften stool and reduce the need for straining in IBS sufferers - the consultant who recommended it has massively improved my quality of life as I no longer have to fear bleeding heavily when passing stools.

Where I've struggled to find branded stock of Docusate Sodium at reasonable prices, or in stock at all at times, Pharmica have always had Dioctyl when I've needed it.
