What is Dioralyte and when is it used?

Dioralyte sachets help you recover quickly from vomiting or diarrhoea which has left the body dehydrated. It replaces essential salts that may have been lost, while helping the body rehydrate.

What causes Dehydration?

Dehydration can be caused by a number of factors including:

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhoea
  • Not drinking enough water
  • Extended time spent in a hot environment

What is the recommended dosage of this treatment?

Dissolve one sachet in 200ml of water and consume. Some adults may find that they need two sachets dissolved in 400ml of water. It is important to always use fresh drinking water with Dioralyte, do not dissolve the sachets in anything else.

When should Dioralyte not be used?

Dioralyte should not be used, and medical attention sought in these instances:

  • Diarrhoea has persisted for more than 48 hours
  • Have liver or kidney disease
  • Have diabetes

How should I store Dioralyte?

Dioralyte should be stored in a dry, cool environment that does not exceed 25°C.
