What is Vitamin E?
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble, essential nutrient with a wide variety of functions that keep the body in good health. In addition to strengthening the immune system, vitamin E supports cell function, skin and eye health. As an antioxidant, vitamin E also combats free radicals produced by the metabolism of food and toxins in the environment.
A number of illnesses can be improved in part by adequate amounts of vitamin E. By widening the blood vessels, vitamin E can help prevent blood clots. It may even be effective at reducing the symptoms of atopic dermatitis and fatty liver disease, as well as slowing the progression of mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease.
