How effective are Foundayo and the Wegovy pill for weight loss?
Foundayo and the Wegovy pill haven't been tested against each other in a head-to-head clinical trial, so any comparison of their results comes from separate studies with different designs, durations and participant groups. In the Phase 3 ATTAIN-1 trial, adults with obesity or overweight taking the highest dose of orforglipron lost an average of 12.4% of their body weight over 72 weeks, compared with 0.9% in the placebo group.3 Around 6 in 10 participants on the highest dose lost at least 10% of their body weight, and around 4 in 10 lost at least 15%.3
In the Phase 3 OASIS 4 trial, adults taking the 25mg dose of oral semaglutide lost an average of 16.6% of their body weight over 64 weeks among those who fully adhered to treatment, compared with 2.7% in the placebo group.
